Book Designing: Text, book binding and mixed media experimentation

This week the Friday group continued experimenting with illustrations for their books, they also experimented with ways of creating their text. One of the children also experimented with sewing paper together with the idea of binding their book themselves this way. We had some feathers to try writing with, letter stamps and pens. The children also ended up experimenting with wax resist as a way to add texture or text in.

Next week we will start creating the books, starting with making the pages (cutting to size and creating backgrounds).
