This week the Friday group created their magical creature pictures for our display, some of the children practiced a few ideas in their sketchbook first before creating their final piece. They created their magical beasts by combining different real animals using some animal encyclopaedias we had available to look through as inspiration. Some of the children also thought about mythological whilst creating their creatures. Birds ended up being a very popular source of inspiration for everyone.
Most of the children are on holiday next week so we will have a more casual session to finish off a couple of pieces to add to the display.
