Splat Painting!

Today our toddler group had lots of fun exploring gravity through splat painting!
We rolled out a large piece of paper and placed trays of paint and different objects around the paper. We had plastic eggs, feathers, four different sponges, spaghetti, buttons, shells, pipe cleaners, socks, beaded necklaces, beaded bracelets, cotton reels and two chunky plastic diamonds. The children agreed that the spaghetti was their favourite to use.
Half way through the session the children started exploring the paint with their hands and feet, they enjoyed patting the paper with their paint covered hands and walking on the paper. We even ended up jumping on the paper at one point! (with grown-ups holding hands to prevent slipping)
Next week we will be exploring bubble painting!
