This week the Wednesday and Thursday groups were tasked with creating pictures based on their holidays using two or more different materials. The children had access to washi tape, pencils, chalk pastels, oil pastels, water colour paint, collage materials, pens and colouring pencils.
We ended up with quite a few pictures based on holidays in Cornwall!
The chalk and oil pastels were very popular this week and the children who used them were a lot more experimental, using different tools to smudge them and also exploring what happens if you mix the two together or add water to the former.
Next week we are going to explore creating 3D art with just paper and sticky foam squares.
