This week our Friday group had lots of fun exploring creating 3D paper art using paper, scissors, googly eyes and foam sticky pads. One of the children described 3D paper art as ‘drawing with scissors’. They enjoyed using vibrantly coloured paper and trying to figure out whether it is better to stick pieces down as you go or to cut out all the pieces first, fit them together like a jigsaw puzzle and then stick them together. They had access to both straight edge and shaped scissors which helped create some of the interesting textures.
Next week we will be exploring creating 3D art using corrugated cardboard.
